Unused or expired prescription medications are a public-safety issue leading to potential accidental poisoning, misuse and fatal overdoses. Proper disposal of unused drugs save lives and protects the environment. Jackson Township and the City of Grove City are partnering with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to offer their residents a one-day event to safely dispose of unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications at no cost. Operation Medicine Drop will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 24, 2021 at the Jackson Township Fire Administration Building (Station 202) at 3650 Hoover Road in Grove City, Ohio in conjunction with the U.S. DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day: https://takebackday.dea.gov.

Anonymous drop off of prescription, over-the-counter and pet medications in pill, powder or patch form will be accepted. Medications must be removed from their packaging and placed in clear, sealed bags. Needles, lancets, syringes, inhalers, aerosols, liquids, creams and pastes will not be accepted.
