Firefighters respond to Addison Drive house fire

Jackson Township Division of Fire firefighter/paramedics were dispatch at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 21, 2014 on a shed fire at the 2800 block of Addison Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters found a fully involved fire near the carport area of an approximate 1,000 square-foot house. No one was injured, and the situation was contained by 4:21 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

“This lets us know that fires do occurs and how important it is to have a fire escape plan and working smoke detectors,” said Jackson Township Fire Division Chief Rick Dawson. “We never know when they are going to happen.”
