Ponds:
A well-designed and maintained pond can add value and functionality to your property. However, a poorly designed pond can quickly become a public nuisance and health hazard. All ponds must be reviewed by the Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District prior to receiving zoning permit approval.  The following are also helpful guidance on pond design and management:

Ohio Noxious Weeds:
Property owners in Jackson Township need to know that under Ohio Law, there are about 20 varieties of weeds that are considered “Noxious Weeds” meaning they are aggressive, invasive and harmful to livestock or other species.  Identifying and controlling these weeds are the responsibility of property owners. The Township or County has the right to remove noxious weeds and assess the costs for such actions against the property owner’s real estate taxes.
