Borror Road reopens following bridge replacement

Elected officials and representatives from Jackson Township, the Franklin County Engineer’s Office and the City of Grove City attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 19, 2018 to celebrate the completion of the Patzer Ditch bridge replacement project that began Sept. 10, 2018. Borror Road closed for six weeks from Jackson Pike (State Route 104) to Buckeye Parkway but reopened following the ceremony.

Franklin County Engineer Cornell Robertson said the bridge was a category four or poor rating prior to its replacement with components of the original structure at the 100-year mark. Project costs finished below the Franklin County Engineer’s estimate. The Patzer Ditch bridge replacement project performed by Axis Civil Construction is the first component of the large-scale Borror Road Improvements Project set to begin in June 2019.
