Safety Town is scheduled for weekdays June 7-14, 2018 at J.C. Sommer Elementary School — 3055 Kingston Ave. in Grove City, Ohio. Registration for morning or afternoon sessions now is available at gcsafetytown.org.

Children who will be attending kindergarten during the 2018-2019 school year and live in City of Grove City, Jackson Township or village of Urbancrest may be registered for Safety Town. Prekindergarten students will learn about stranger danger, and poison, school bus, fire, animal and water safety. All classes will be taught by certified school teachers, and participants will preview what it is like to be in school including learning about safely using school playground equipment and rules they will be expected to follow when they go to school.

Jackson Township Professional Firefighters Local 2672 sponsors Safety Town in cooperation with the Jackson Township Division of Fire, Grove City Division of Police and South-Western City Schools. More information will be posted as it becomes available to the Jackson Township website, and Grove City Safety Town, Jackson Township Division of Fire and Grove City Division of Police social media pages.
