Support first responders, join CERT

A launch and planning meeting for anyone interested in becoming a community emergency response team member is set for 6:30 p.m. April 17, 2017 at the Cultivate Building, 3989 Broadway, in Grove City Town Center. Those who have completed basic CERT training especially are encouraged to attend.

The CERT program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. When emergencies happen, CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members can also help with nonemergency projects that help improve overall safety of a community.
